AN IRISH COUNTRY CALENDAR
Ballyvolane
 In English with Spanish Subtitles
Summer: Near the mouth of the River Shannon stands Glin Castle , a stately Anglo-Norman home that has survived centuries of political upheaval to become one of County Limerick 's great country houses. The castle is open to guests, who can try their hand at the ancient sport of archery, or who may prefer boating on the Shannon, one of the world's great waterways. In Glin, one can see the splendor of Irish decorative arts and craftsmanship, including magnificent family heirlooms and works of art.
Ballyvolane House, originally built in 1728, lies in County Cork near the port of departure for so many immigrants headed to America . One of forty Irish guest houses that form the group "Hidden Ireland," Ballyvolane offers Old World charms that include country fresh cooking, fly fishing for Blackwater salmon, and traditional music and storytelling at the local tavern.

DEF COMEDY J AM – MORE ALL STARS #1
Martin Lawrence, Cedric the Entertainer, J oe Torry, Bruce Bruce, Robin Montague
3 Full Length Shows-. The three lively, 1990s episodes of Def Comedy J am on More All Stars, Vol. 1 find Martin Lawrence hosting two of the programs, though his duties include a funny bit about trying to put on a condom in the fog of early-morning sleepiness. (" J ust go to work. I'll call you when I'm done.") The parade of brief appearances by working comics include Angela Means, who complains about the worried boyfriend who left her during the L.A. riots because her complexion was dangerously light. Cedric the Entertainer, in his impressionist mode, imagines Luther Vandross's soulful schoolboy days, while Alturo Shelton enlists several colleagues (and the one white guy in the audience) to recreate glory years of the Temptations. Lots to enjoy, but a real highlight is Tommy Chun's bewilderment over Ice Cube's taste in flannel shirts. ("How do you survive in South Central? Get a tank top!").--Tom Keogh

DVD DOUBLE FEATURE – THE AMAZING ADVENTURE WITH CARY GRANT & MY LOVE FOR YOURS WITH FRED MAC MURRAY
CARY GRANT and FRED MAC MURRAY
Amazing Adventure Plot - Ernest Bliss is a rich young man with too little to do. Not realizing the depression he's in is due to boredom, Ernest consults a doctor. Sir J ames Aldroyd gives Ernest a prescription that he doesn't think Ernest can fill: Ernest must earn his own living for one year using none of his current wealth. Ernest bets him 50,000 English pounds that he can.
My Love Plot - This very warm and charming film is very special but not well known. Madeleine Carroll gives one of her best performances opposite Fred MacMurray, who also shines in this quietly affecting comedy-drama. A good screenplay from Virgina Van Upp based on stories by Grace Sartwell Mason and Katharine Brust, and some nice photography from Ted Tetzlaff, make this film very satisfying.
Gail Allen (Madeleine Carroll) runs Morrissey's, an upscale department store. She has success and money and thinks she is happy with her life. Helen Broderick is her friend, Lorna Smith, a slightly older woman who writes novels of romance in far away places. Allan J ones is the Met star who is her friend and escort. When Gail gets an astrological reading talking about marriage to a tall man with a cut on his arm, that includes a child, she laughs it off. But when she happens upon Bill Barnett (Fred MacMurray) in a boat store, and he lives in Bali and just happens to have a cut on his arm, she begins to wonder.
